Pearland ISD Absence Note Submission

If your student is absent for one or more days, district policy requires that an absence note be submitted within three (3) days of the student's return to school for the absence to be considered for excusal. For absences of five (5) consecutive days, a doctor's note may be required.

This Absence Portal allows parents/guardians to submit documentation for a student's absence.

Types of Absence Documentation

  • Parent Note: Up to 5 days per semester may be excused with a parent note.
  • Family Emergency Note: The reason for the emergency must be provided for the absence to be considered excused.
  • Medical Note: Please upload documentation from the healthcare provider's office.

If you have questions regarding a tardy or absence recorded for your student, please contact your child's teacher or the campus attendance office.

Attendance Letters and Tardy Notifications

Attendance letters and tardy notifications are posted weekly in Skyward Family Access for students who meet the notification criteria. These documents can be viewed under the appropriate section in Family Access.
