Addiction Center is a comprehensive addiction center hub. They have a guide to dangers of abusing alcohol, illicit drugs, prescription drugs, treatment facilities, and more.

Addiction Resources

The goal at Addiction Resource is to provide a wealth of information to help individuals struggling with an addiction and provide support to their loved ones so that they may stay on the road to recovery and successfully overcome addiction for life. They believe in their ability to help improve the lives of others, and that belief is what motivates them to educate and support their readers every day.  

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.  AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.  AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies:

  • Funding scientific research
  • Educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention
  • Advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention
  • Supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide in our mission
The Dougy Center

The Dougy Center (The National Center for Grieving Children and Families) provides a safe place for children, teens, young adults and their families who are grieving a death to share their experiences. We do this through peer support groups, education, and training.

Erika's Lighthouse

Many families don’t know the signs of teen depression or where to turn for help. Erika’s Lighthouse regularly hears from educators and teens of the need to educate and engage families. Erika’s Lighthouse has designed information, resources, workshops and more to equip school communities to better interact with families around depression and mental health.

Gulf Coast Center

The Gulf Coast Center provides a range of services and support for people in Galveston and Brazoria counties with mental health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) needs. The Center also provides additional community services, including an on-demand transportation service, community education and disaster recovery support.

Love is Respect

Love is respect is the ultimate resource to engage, educate, and empower youth and young adults to prevent and end abusive relationships.

National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Their purpose is to advocate, listen and lead.

Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)

RAINN is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. It also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, and help victims. They operate the National Sexual Abuse Hotline at 1-800-656-hope.

SIOU is a non-profit outreach initiative providing information and resources about self-injury to those who self-injure, those who have recovered, and those who want to help.
