2025-26 Course Selection

*Course Selection Window
          ~ Course request portal opens for students in grades 9-11 on February 24, 2025
          ~ Course request portal opens for 8th grade students on February 24, 2025

*Students in grades 9-11 will listen to a PowerPoint presentation during Oiler Time to explain the course selection process on February 21, 2025.

*Academic Planning Night is open to ALL STUDENTS and will be held February 13, 2025 from 6-8pm.

 

Grade Level Meetings:

Ninth Grade: Week of February 24, 2025
Tenth Grade: Week of March 3, 2025
Eleventh Grade: Week of March 10, 2025

These will be part group and part one-on-one meetings between the counselor and the student. We will review courses for the following school year and graduation requirements. This will also be a time to answer questions.

Junior meetings will also include discussions about post-secondary goals. 

*If students need assistance, counselors are available before school, after school or during lunch (with no appointment necessary). Students and parents are also encouraged to reach out to their counselor via email with any questions or concerns. We are here to help!!

Schedule Change Policy (Course Selection Handbook page 10)

Starting the first day of school, a schedule change will only be considered based on the following criteria

  • The student is a senior not scheduled in a course needed for graduation.
  • The student has already earned credit for a course currently scheduled.
  • The student does not meet the prerequisite requirements for a course.
  • The student has previously failed this class under the same teacher.
  • The student was dismissed from a program where approval must be granted
